BOMAG compaction equipment can be used for soil, roads and construction of reservoir, as well as landfill of various scales, asphalt road repair and road stabilizing. In order to improve the operation of road compactors, the Company developed several top-notch intelligent measuring and management systems to control the process and result for optimal compaction of target material, providing effective protection for all types of road surfaces.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Offer field support in After Sales by providing technical and strategic consultancy for customers and dealers in the Sub-Saharan Africa region with focus on South Africa

  • Responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of all spare parts sales actions as well as marketing and purchasing objectives within the region, incl. closing annual Dealer Target Agreements for BOMAG After Sales

  • Expand BOMAG's spare parts and services market share significantly within the assigned Sub-Saharan Africa territories in collaboration with BOMAG dealerships, incl. creation and implementation of regional sales growth initiatives

  • Regular visits of various dealerships, local key accounts, and strategic end customers in coordination with our regional management and departments

  • Collect and provide market intelligence on all assigned markets to increase business volume by adjusting end user pricing to respective markets price levels, incl. negotiation of respective pricing programs, measures, and growth targets

  • Develop sales opportunities for new assemblies, upgrades, and spare parts at our customer's premises in cooperation with the dealership as well as identify customer requirements by providing expert advice

  • Support and monitor inventory management of parts at dealerships to ensure optimized local availability of parts

  • Provide training to dealers on BOMAG spare part product portfolio, spare parts procedures, and systems

  • Attend regional exhibitions, visit BOMAG production facilities, and participate in trainings as well as other events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology; alternatively, similar education
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the construction equipment industry - experience with road construction equipment (asphalt pavers, asphalt milling machines, asphalt, and soil rollers) preferred
  • Business fluent written and spoken English language skills
  • Ability to independently plan work schedules, tasks, perform self-quality checks and follow procedures
